From the M6 motorway (north and south) leave junction 36 and take the A590 (signposted Windermere). Turn 1st left off the dual-carriagway but staying on the A590 following the signs towards Barrow-in-Furness. The dual carriageway changes into two way traffic then back into a dual carriageway again. As it turns back into dual carriageway turn right into Witherslack village and the Derby Arms is a few hundred yards on the left. If you miss the turning and reach the large roundabout go right round the roundabout and come back along the dual-carriageway past the garage on the left. You can see the Derby Arms across the fields on the left and the turning into Witherslack village is then the 1st on the left.
